Jyotsna G. Singh, Research Consultant, is a Professor in the Department of English at Michigan State University. Her published work includes the following: A Companion to the Global Renaissance: English Literature and Culture in the Era of Expansion. Ed. Oxford: Blackwell, 2009 and 2013); Travel Knowledge: European ‘Discoveries’ in the Early Modern Period (Co-editor, Ivo Kamps) New York: Palgrave, 2001; and Colonial Narratives/Cultural Dialogues: ‘Discoveries’ of India in the Language of Colonialism. London: Routledge, 1996 (Monograph). She is the co-editor, forthcoming, of The Postcolonial World. (with David Kim) Routledge 2016. Her articles have appeared, among others, in Renaissance Drama and Theater Journal. She has received several fellowships, among others, at the John Carter Brown Library and Queen Mary, University of London, UK (Distinguished Visiting Faculty).
